Our platform gathers and processes critical workplace feedback throughout an employee's lifecycle to inform better management decisions.
About the Role
As a Principal Engineer at EngageRocket, you are the technical lighthouse of our engineering organization. You drive architectural excellence, solve our most complex technical problems, and elevate engineering quality across the board. You are hands-on, leading by example and mentoring senior engineers while shaping the long-term technical vision of our product.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that power our B2B SaaS platform.
- Solve high-impact technical problems across the full stack—from front-end interfaces to distributed backend systems.
- Partner with Product, Design, DevOps, and Security teams to deliver features and infrastructure that delight users and scale with business growth.
- Lead technical deep-dives, RFCs, and design reviews to ensure technical rigor and cross-functional alignment.
- Coach senior engineers and help foster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous learning.
- Increase and safeguard our product quality through rigorous code reviews and high-level system design.
- Identify and drive technical improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Act as a sounding board to the Head of Engineering on strategic technical direction.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling modern web applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
- Experience with B2B applications
- Exceptional coding ability in at least two of the following: Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
- Deep experience with architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven design, and distributed systems.
- Strong database design skills (SQL & NoSQL), and experience with caching and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security best practices.
- Proven ability to influence across teams and lead initiatives without formal authority.
- Passion for mentoring and helping engineers grow technically and professionally.
